PURPOSE OF THIS CHARTER
To simply and clearly articulate to Association Members and Prospective Members, Influencers, Partners and the Media the role of the Marketing Association in representing, fostering and growing the true value of measurable marketing in New Zealand.
Inherent in the Charter is a commitment to highlight the value of the strategic and financial contribution which Marketing makes to business in New Zealand.

We will:
- encourage the growth of data-driven Marketing
- provide leadership and governance to the Marketing industry
- provide quality training and learning opportunities
- provide Marketers with a communication vehicle and a network of Marketing peers
- acknowledge best practice in the Marketing industry through a comprehensive Awards programme
- proactively spearhead and manage industry issues which require lobbying and regulatory advice on behalf of our membership
- endorse best practice in Marketing through robust Accreditation
- encourage member growth by providing vital business support
- foster close relationships with affiliated industry bodies
SERVICE COMMITMENT
The Marketing Association will champion the value of measurable marketing at all levels of business. We will help provide marketers with the skills to demonstrate the value of marketing to their organisation through ongoing learning opportunities, robust self-regulatory structures, and provision of a comprehensive information base for marketers.

- Formal education at basic and advanced levels on all aspects of marketing for New Zealand practitioners and businesses
- Seminars, workshops, business luncheons, breakfast forums and conferences devoted to widening the understanding and implementation of contemporary marketing practice

- Influencing Government bodies which formulate legislation affecting marketing and business to ensure a pragmatic approach is taken
- Promotion of best-practice marketing guidelines to New Zealand business
- Ongoing membership of the Advertising Standards Authority to support this world-leading self-regulatory communications environment
- Affiliation with marketing organisations worldwide to keep abreast of global trends and international regulation.

- DLB magazine – the Marketing Association’s bi-monthly member-only magazine bringing topical, readable, useful articles from leading marketing practitioners in NZ and around the world
- SNAPshot – the Marketing Association’s eNewsletter – news from the Association, jobs available/wanted sections, member news, special offers
