Posted: 5 May 2008

Single key encryption, password protection, file transfer protocol’s – you may have heard these terms but perhaps you aren’t familiar with exactly what they are all about?

Transfer of data from one location to another happens everyday within organisations.  To assist businesses with the secure transfer of data the Marketing Association’s Data Advisory Network (DAN) have just completed a set of recommended Data Transfer Standards. You will find them easy to follow and they will no doubt challenge you to consider your own internal practices.

To have a read of the standards click here. If it’s really not your scene then pass them on to the person within your organisation who would benefit most from these practical tips.
