AUG 2006 - AIM Proximity appoints new Senior Art Director
Marc Chetcuti moves to highly awarded creative department at AIM Proximity Auckland
AUCKLAND, 31 August 2006 – AIM Proximity, New Zealand’s leading direct and interactive marketing agency, has appointed Marc Chetcuti as a new Senior Art Director.
Marc Chetcuti will partner Auckland’s Creative Director Matt Shirtcliffe, to form one of Australasia’s most awarded Direct creative teams. Chetcuti has for the past three years been working alongside Jim Thomas, Creative Director of Clemenger BBDO Direct in Wellington.
Matt Shirtcliffe comments on the new appointment: “Marc’s the perfect fit for the role here. He’s done outstanding work with Jim that’s won a fistful of international awards, including Cannes, Echoes, Caples, New York Festival and RSVPs. His reputation is formidable, and we’re delighted to be able to retain Marc in the Clemenger family.”
Marc Checuti comments on his high profile appointment: “AIM Proximity has been recognised internationally for many years, and I’m really enjoying working with Matt and the team there.”
Originally from London, Marc spent ten years working for some of the city’s leading agencies including Grey Integrated, DMB&B and Rapier. Following his time in the UK he spent nine years in Sydney, where he worked for the likes of Saatchi & Saatchi, M&C Saatchi and Carr Clarke Rapp Collins. He was then headhunted for his last assignment at Clemenger BBDO Direct in March 2003. He has worked with some of the world’s biggest brands throughout his career including Coca Cola Amatil, Greenpeace, British American Tobacco, British Airways, Dunlop tyres, Mitsubishi Motors and Johnson & Johnson. Outside of work he’s a passionate movie maker, and has written and directed a series of short films.
