APR 2007 - New sponsorship deal to boost NZ Business
The Marketing Association of New Zealand and apnfinda Ltd have signed an exciting new sponsorship agreement.
apnfinda is a joint venture between APN Online and finda.co.nz, the community-focused business directory. With a family of brands including the award-winning wises.co.nz; the business-to-business directory UBD.co.nz; and the business database apndata.co.nz, apnfinda owns more than 220,000 listings, making the business database the most comprehensive in New Zealand. With its consolidation of online products, apnfinda now services more than 600,000 unique visitors each month.
APN has been a sponsor of the Marketing Association’s Northern Region for the past 12 months and has enjoyed the sponsorship benefits at a regional level.
apnfinda CEO Dwayne Alexander said that with the establishment of the merger, apnfinda was eager to extend and maximise exposure to the New Zealand marketplace.
“Broadening the relationship with the Marketing Association means that apnfinda now has exposure to the national members of the Association. With the Marketing Association’s focus on education and networking for the marketing practitioners and advertisers in New Zealand, their activities are a perfect fit for apnfinda.”
The New Zealand Marketing Association is the acknowledged political advocate for marketers and lobbies to protect their rights of free communication. CEO Keith Norris is regularly involved in political issues which affect the marketing and business communities of New Zealand.
The Marketing Association aligns itself with strong partners where the symbiotic relationship reinforces both the Association’s and partners reach and brand image.
Shane Bradley, apnfinda’s Chief of Products, noted that a bonus of apnfinda’s relationship with the Marketing Association was the opportunity to further expose the apnfinda family of brands to the Association’s membership base, and to educate and encourage members to utilise the market-leading range of services now available. “We’ve designed our products to be the first port of call for business users, so we’re delighted to now be working with the Marketing Association to show what apnfinda can do for the business community.”
Mr Bradley added that apnfinda’s local search engines were business-friendly because they produced more relevant results for business users than general search.
apnfinda will receive recognition at each of the over 70 events which the Marketing Association run nationally each year.
Marketing Association CEO Keith Norris commented that “I am delighted to welcome apnfinda as a major national sponsor. We look forward to enjoying a mutually beneficial relationship for many years.”
