AUG 2007 - Sponsorship Awards Entries Are Now Open

Entries for New Zealand’s most prestigious sponsorship marketing awards, the TVNZ and The New Zealand Herald Sponsorship Awards, are now open.  

These awards acknowledge and celebrate New Zealand’s most outstanding sponsorship campaigns.  There is a category to celebrate every type and level of sponsorship.  Categories include:

• Best International Sport Sponsorship
• Creative New Zealand Best International or National Art Sponsorship
• The Radio Network Best International or National Cause Sponsorship
• Radio Sport Best National Sport Sponsorship
• Millennium Hotels Best Provincial Sport Sponsorship
• Creative New Zealand Best Provincial Art Sponsorship
• Millennium Hotels Best Provincial Cause Sponsorship
• Spy Glass Best Media Sponsorship
• Experiential Agency Best Special Projects Sponsorship
• Best First Year Sponsor
• Pelorus Trust Best Junior Sponsorship
• Best Under $30,000 Sponsorship
• Harvey Cameron Advertising Best Long Term Sponsorship
   

There is a new category for 2007, the Experiential Agency Best Special Project Sponsorship.  This category covers an International, National or Provincial sponsorship campaign that does not fit within art, sport or cause related categories i.e. a one-off event or an education, science, research or agricultural based campaign.

The sole individual award on the night is the Massey University Service to Sponsorship Awards.  This is a very prestigious award that acknowledges those who have made considerable contributions to the industry.  Previous winners have included Sir Ronald Scott, Sir John Anderson, Bob Field and Peter Leitch (aka The Mad Butcher).

Entry forms can be downloaded from www.sponsorshipawards.co.nz.  Entries close on Monday the 22nd of October with finalists being announced on Friday the 2nd of November.  Winners will receive their awards at a black tie dinner in Auckland on Thursday the 6th of December.
