MAY 2008 - AIM Proximity Underlines Media Neutral Approach by Promoting New Breed of Creative, Tony Clewett, to Deputy Creative Director


AUCKLAND 8 May 2008 – AIM Proximity, New Zealand’s leading direct and interactive marketing agency today announced the promotion of Tony Clewett to the new role of Deputy Creative Director, as the company continues to normalise its interactive offering throughout the business. Tony Clewett has extensive expertise across a range of marketing disciplines, and he will continue to work alongside the agency’s Creative Director, Dave King. 

Dave King, Creative Director, AIM Proximity, says, “Tony is adept at creating big new ideas across a range of media, whether direct, digital, mainstream or experiential - and as a media neutral agency, our business is all about ideas.”

Since joining AIM Proximity as Art Director in 2007, Tony Clewett has worked with a number of clients including Vodafone, Yellow Pages, Air New Zealand and The Warehouse. Most recently, he has been integral in the development of the Yellow Pages’ highly successful online initiative, The Unbelievably Unbelievable Search campaign, as well as the recent Frank Ginger Sheep experiential work.

Tony Clewett has amassed numerous local and international accolades in his 15 year career, both in New Zealand and internationally. These include Gold and Silver Lions at Cannes, as well as Gold and Silver Echos and Best Art Direction at last year’s NZ Direct and Interactive Marketing awards.
