Student Job Search is a national service that assists tertiary students find quality paid employment whilst helping businesses fill much needed gaps in their workforce.

Throughout New Zealand, energized students are wanting to offer their skills to the job market, either as a part time, casual or in a contract position. The success of SJS is two-fold. How much can you expect to pay a student?

Average hourly rate $13.82 : for specialists $15 - 25

When are they available?

Students are always on the look out for work – particularly during summer (late October to early March) and mid semester break (mid June to mid July). During term students are available on a part time basis, be it evening, weekend or a few hours through the week. Full time students (3 papers or more) are usually advised to not work more than 20 hours per week.

What sort of roles?

The answer is: you name it; SJS will strive to fill it! Every week hundreds of jobs from various industries are advertised in the regional offices and online. From baristas to baby sitters, models to marketing assistants, there is a student or several students for every job listed with SJS.
