July 2009 - Understanding the triggers buyer behaviour

At this luncheon Sean D'Souza shared his insights into 'Pyschotactics' and introduced the concept of the Brain Audit. Sean left attendees with some great insights into the triggers of buyer behaviour, and what this can mean for their businesses.

Sean showed us that as marketers we need to focus on:

  • Individual target profiles rather than target audiences
  • The importance of sequence 
  • Understanding the role of the problem and solution
  • Getting to the trigger - prompting your customers to ask 'How do you do that?' or 'What do you mean by that?'
  • How to find the person that says 'me, me, me!'
