A. Short Courses Terms and Conditions

Enrolment

Enrolment is confirmed once a minimum deposit of one third of the course fee has been received.

Cancellations

Cancellation of enrolment for Short Courses must be received in writing.

Due to the costs incurred in terms of course preparation and administration, any cancellations, requests for deferrals or transfers will be subject to the following penalties:

Written cancellation received:
30 days prior to the course 100% refund
29 - 15 days 50% of course fee refunded
14 - 8 days 25% of course fee refunded
7 days or less No refunds for cancellations during this time, for non-attendance, or withdrawal once the course has commenced


Deferment/Transfer

Courses may be deferred/transferred at the discretion of the Educate Business Manager.

Request for deferments/transfers must be made in writing to the Marketing Association. Deferments/transfers are only applicable to courses paid in full at the time of the deferment/transfer and will be valid for a maximum of 12 months from the date of the deferment/transfer.

Companies paying the fees may substitute an attendee for a Short Course at the discretion of the Educate Business Manager.

Cancellation by Marketing Association

Due to unforeseen circumstances (including course demand or resource availability), the Marketing Association reserves the right to cancel the course, change the date or time, content or delivery method of any course.

The Marketing Association is not responsible for travel or related costs incurred by attendees.

B. Certificate Course Terms & Conditions

Enrolment

Class numbers are filled on a first come, first served basis. All endeavours are made to ensure your preferred class is available. Courses are also dependent on minimum numbers. If minimum numbers are not reached, the Marketing Association reserves the right to cancel the class concerned or offer you an alternative class if space allows.


Course Fees

All course costs must be received prior to the commencement of the course unless prior arrangement has been made with the Marketing Association. In order to sit the examination, any outstanding accounts are to be settled at least 3 weeks prior to the examination date (Certificate of Direct & Certificate of Digital) and 3 weeks prior to Assignment due date (Certificate of Marketing Management) otherwise the student will not be able to sit the exam.


Attendance

If students, with good reason, miss a class, they may attend an alternative evening or weekend class to make up the missed class. Students will need to notify their tutor and the Marketing Association and ensure they make themselves known to the alternative tutor.

Students may miss a maximum of 4 weeknight classes or one full Saturday class during the course. Students will be responsible for catching up on any work covered in their absence.


Cancellation

Cancellation of enrolment for an MA Certificate course must be received in writing. For written cancellations received more than fifteen working days prior to the commencement of the course an amount of 20% of the course fee will be deducted to meet costs, and the remainder will be refunded. For written cancellations which are received less than fifteen working days from a course commencement, a 50% refund of the course fee will be made. No refund will be given if cancellation occurs after the commencement of the course. A substitute student may be enrolled at any time prior to commencement, please contact the Marketing Association on 0800 347 328 ext 766.


Deferment

Requests for deferments and transfers should be made in writing to the Marketing Association. Any deferment request must be received no later than 2 weeks into the course, and the course must be paid in full at the time of deferment. Students may only apply for deferment to the next semester available within a maximum of 12 months. Companies paying the fees may substitute a student if approved by the Marketing Association. An administration fee of $500 will apply. Acceptance of applications for deferment / transfer is at the discretion of the business manager, educate and is subject to availability.

C. eCourses

CANCELLATION of registration must be received in writing at least 5 working days prior to the commencement of the course. An amount of 20% of the course fee (incl. GST) will be deducted to meet administration costs, and the remainder refunded. If cancellation is received less than 5 working days from a course commencement, a 50% refund of the course fee (incl. GST) will be made. No refund will be given if cancellation occurs after the commencement of the course. A substitute student may be enrolled at any time prior to commencement, however, once commenced the registered student is not transferable. DEFERMENT requests (transfer to a later course) must be made in writing to the Marketing Association, no later than 2 weeks into the course. Students may apply for deferment / transfer to the next available same course within a maximum of 12 months. Acceptance of applications for deferment / transfer is at the discretion of the Business Manager Educate, and is subject to availability. The course must be paid in full at time of deferment. An additional administration fee of 20% of the course fee will apply.
