Our Vision and Mission

The New Zealand Marketing Association (NZMA) is the hub of New Zealand’s marketing industry, the heart of our marketing community and a centre of excellence for all things marketing.

Our mission is to facilitate a vibrant community of engaged marketing and business professionals who together foster the evolution of successful, market-led New Zealand businesses making a positive contribution to the New Zealand economy.

Exclusive Member Benefits

Advocacy
We represent all members of the marketing community as a collective and we keep each of you up to date on the latest issues that affect the way you do business – lobbying local and central government and providing regulatory advice on issues such as unsolicited email, data integrity, behavioural marketing and privacy law.

Advice
We provide Corporate Members with free advice on regulatory, legislative and compliance measures and codes. To discuss these matters, members can contact Keith Norris, our Director of Public Affairs.

Research and Information
We keep you in touch with the latest technology, trends and developments – with access to research reports, best practice guidelines and templates, codes of practice, marketing law articles and a comprehensive archive of articles and award-winning case studies through our online Knowledge Base.

Professional Development
We offer a comprehensive certificate and short course education programme, and host a variety of informative and networking events throughout the year – available to you at preferential member rates. Our events and education calendar is now available online.

Member Communications
You’ll receive a copy of NZ Marketing magazine, the official magazine of the NZMA, which contains DLB (the NZMA member section) as part of your membership. Also included with this subscription is a free copy of Idealog. You’ll also get regular updates from us through SNAPshot, our monthly member e-newsletter.

Discounts and Preferential Rates
Members receive preferential rates to NZMA events and education courses – which are often enough to offset the price of membership. Plus you will receive special offers and discounted advertising rates on our website and in SNAPshot.

Brand Building and Awareness
Some of our members are the most recognised names in the New Zealand marketing industry – so you’re in good company and in the right place to network and develop contacts. Members receive a free listing in the Member Directory, and Corporate Members can use the NZMA membership logo on company collateral for your customer’s peace of mind to show that you are following best practice.

Join our Special Interest Groups for Free
Our Special Interest Groups (SIGs) include the eMarketing Network, Data Advisory Network, Direct Marketing Network and Agency Council. We are also in the process of establishing two additional special interests groups – Experiential Marketing and Customer Experience. Become a SIG member and stay updated on the latest developments and issues that are affecting these areas of the industry.

Make an Offer to Other Members
If your company has a special offer that might be of interest to our 4,500+ other members, as a Corporate Member of the NZMA you can send it through to us and we’ll include it free on our website and in SNAPshot.

All Staff Get the Benefits
Corporate membership entitles all staff to member benefits, not just your marketing team.
