Name Suppression Services

Do Not Call / Do Not Mail / Deaths List

Consumers have the right to opt out of receiving unsolicited marketing communications, whether by mail or telephone, at their home addresses. The Do Not Call and Do Not Mail lists, as well as the NZ Deaths List, are available by subscription for organisations. By washing contact lists against them, best practice is upheld: organisations don’t waste their time contacting people who don’t want to be contacted, they protect their brand, and the consumers are happy.

Mailbox Helpline

If you have a sticker on your mailbox that reads Addressed Mail Only, No Circulars or something similar and you're receiving unaddressed advertising mail, you can report this on our Mailbox Helpline - 0800 111 081.

The Do Not Mail (DNM), Do Not Call (DNC) and Deaths Information files can be downloaded separately by NSS subscribers and are to be used solely for the purpose of suppressing names from outbound marketing communications lists.
